The Heated Solution
The Heat Transfer Kit is used when an independent diesel-fired heater is installed. The kit is installed to the bottom of the oil pan and provides conduction heat when warm engine coolant is circulated through the heat transfer element included with the kit.
Average time to install the kit is 2 hours. Kits are now available for ISX Cummins, DD15 Detroit, and Cat which requires approx. 15 minutes more to install.
When we took the picture of the white Kenworth on the Home Page the outside temperature was -21C* and the oil pan is at 0C* – a 21C* degree difference in only 3 hours.
New Kits are available for product pumps and hydraulic tanks.
THIS HEAT TRANSFER KIT SHOULD BE INSTALLED BY A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN.
